I still haven't made more tools for cache files but there is some more detailed info in new manual about these cache files |
Thats great! Thanks!

Yes, that should be right and as you said, that would be very useful for preview renderings in the IPR.
Ver interesting, thanks for these links!

Hi,
I am not much the technichel guy, but this looks very promising and intersting. Could CentiLeo benefit from this? I have read, that Corona is working on that at the moment and that will let the images look less noisy. Very interesting stuff!

I do this very often. Nice technique!

Exactly! Very randomly.
At the moment it is not a huge problem. I can delete the frame where is a dot, or edit it in photoshop quickly. I hope your Idea will work.
Yeah, im sure this can make you crazy.

Hi,
it looks like, when I render an animation, that few frames are becoming black dots here and there. I dont know, what cause this. I will send you two files, and if you look carefully, you will notice the dots, like in an old movie. Any idea?

Thats a good Idea!
+100kb is nothing ![]()
Thank you for this information! Its exactly like you said. I should import a HDRI with one main light source the next time. Never thought that, HDRI's can produce this kind of issueses, but makes totally sence.

Optix for now cant denoise animations without flickering and I hope that will change in near future! The corona high quality denoiser for example works in animations suprisingly good!
I have used a slowmotion plugin to fill the missing frames. On slow camera movements, like in the animation. It works quit well.
Yeah, makes sence. No cache, no flicker.

Here we go with a noisy short animation test. It looks like there is not much flickering. But would be better visible, if I let it render for much longer.
Btw: The "insert video" function seems not to work. Would like to insert the player directly.

Exactly, this kind of HDRs can give an amazing lighting mood sometimes, with stronger and longer shadows.

Great to see this tests, very interesting!
Yes, I have tested the HDR in lower res, there where no difference.
I am excited to see the improvements ![]()
Good to know, that this doesnt happens just on my side!
Yeah, I need to test these out.

Sure, sent! I hope you can find something to optimize and get more speed ![]() Here we go with the next test. I played with the "scratches" shader. I am amazed of this shader. So easy to give every material the little extra for more realism!

Hi,
when I render a animation, every second frame goes black. It doesnt render, just get black and jump to the next frame. Let us say, in this example Im going to render a 550 frames animation. On the end, there will half of the frames be missing. Tried to double the total frames to 1100, but on the end, the animation was finished in the middle, the half of the frames were missing and the rest were just hunderds of frames with just the last not moving frame. Is there a way to solve this issue at the moment?

The portal version took few seconds longer. Both were rendered at 10 iterations.

Yes, that would make more sence to place it there. The dark areas takes too long to clean up. At the begining it cleans fastly but than it takes and takes. But that is in every renderengine the same with HDRIs. Mostly I work with a white sky or area lights infront of the windows. HDRIs can create amazing moods sometimes, but for me speed is more important. Here are 3 different versions. All are rendered for 1min. The day scene above was rendered for 2 hours and the night version rendered for 40-50min.

Hi,
I have recognized, when I am minimizing the IPR window and later maximize it again, it will be black. It is still rendering. I can see the result when I save the render.

Here we go with the night version of the interior. I have used a blue sky here. The render was much faster compared to the HDR lighted version.
